​田园时光美食--花生莲藕排骨汤Lotus Root Soup

猪骨 600克(Pork ribs or any  bone 600g)

莲藕 300克(Lotus root 300 g)

去皮花生 70克(Peeled peanut 70 g)

生姜(Ginger)

红枣(Chinese red dates)

水 1000-1500毫升(Water 1000ml-1500 ml)

 

 

 

  1. 首先把莲藕切成厚片  莲藕在华人超市可以买到。

  2. 准备清洗干净的去皮花生、一点生姜片和中国红枣 一起备用。

  3. 把排骨或任意猪骨 (Pork ribs or any  bone )放入冷水的锅里 把水烧开 这步骤是为了去掉猪肉的血腥味。

  4. 当水烧开时 会有很多的浮沫出现 这时就可以把排骨捞出 用清水冲洗干净 备用

  5. 在砂锅里 建议用慢炖锅  加入适量清水 喜欢汤的味道浓的就少加些水,把排骨和之前准备的所有材料放入。

  6. 加盖用高火烧开 煮10分钟后转中偏小火 慢慢的煮 直到排骨酥烂。至少2个小时。

  7. 我爹地不停的去打开盖子看 这是不好的示范,会影响汤的味道的 我妈妈说一份好的汤需要耐心等待。

  8. 这道汤煮好后 记得把面上的油花撇掉 可以不放盐来喝 但如果你要放盐最好等汤煮好 最后放入。

  9. 这道汤味道很好清爽不油腻 而且营养丰富,这是家的味道。

 

On some days, my mom likes to make us a big pot of homy soup. A good bowl of soup is always my favourite to go along with a delicious meal.  But it takes at least a couple of hours to get those delicious flavours. But the result is always worth it. Today I will be sharing my mom's secret to making a delicious bowl of lotus root soup

 

First slice them lotus root into thick slices, you can find these at any Chinese grocery store.

Other ingredients you'll need are washed skinned peanuts, ginger and some Chinese red dates

Select any type of pork bone, she's using riblets here. and cook them in a pot of cold water until it comes to a boil. this step will remove any excess blood from the meat

 

When the water comes to a boil and starts foaming on top, strain out the meat and wash clean 

 

Here's she's using a clay casserole pot, but you can also use a slow cooker, add in enough water and add the riblets in along with the rest of the ingredients. You can add less water if you like your soup to be stronger
